Our brands

Which air conditioning brands do we fit?

Aircova fits Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Toshiba and Panasonic, the five makers UK installers fit most. Every unit we supply is an inverter split that runs on R32 refrigerant and heats as well as cools. We register the manufacturer warranty for you once the system is commissioned.

Mitsubishi Electric

Known for the MSZ-LN wall unit, which has a silent mode of 19dB(A) at 2.5kW. Often picked for bedrooms and open plan rooms.

Fujitsu

Efficient, reliable wall units that keep the price of a single room down. Our standard tier and good value for multi-room systems.

Fujitsu air conditioning

We also fit Toshiba and Panasonic. Toshiba makes slim wall units such as the Haori, and Panasonic offers the Etherea with built in air purification. We quote both on request. Samsung, LG and Hitachi are available too if you have a model in mind.

How much does each brand cost to fit?

We group brands into two price tiers. Each price is fitted, includes VAT, and covers up to 3 metres of pipework per indoor unit, the bracket, the electrical connection and commissioning.

3.5kW single roomFrom £2,395From £2,595

The premium tier adds about £200 per indoor unit. Toshiba and Panasonic are priced at the survey. Longer pipe runs, scaffolding, wall chasing and consumer unit upgrades are extra on any brand, and our air conditioning cost guide explains each one.

Buying advice

How to choose the right brand for your home

All five brands make good units. The right size and position matter more than the badge on the front, so we start there.

  1. Size the room first. A bedroom up to about 20m² usually needs 2.5kW. Our BTU calculator gives a starting figure.
  2. Decide on one room or several. One outdoor unit can run two to five rooms with a multi-split system.
  3. Check the noise figures. Bedrooms need a low quiet mode. Our guide to the quietest air conditioning units compares models.
  4. Set your budget. Fujitsu keeps costs down. Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric cost about £200 more per indoor unit.
  5. Think about heating. Every brand we fit heats too, giving 3 to 4 kW of heat per kW of electricity.

If you are replacing gas, oil or electric heaters, read about air-to-air heat pumps before you pick a model. The Energy Saving Trust guide to air-to-air heat pumps explains how they compare with radiator systems.

Warranty and standards

Warranty and fitting standards on every brand

Manufacturer warranties run up to 5 years, and longer on some ranges if the unit is serviced every year. We register the warranty with the maker after commissioning.

Extended warranty terms are set by each manufacturer and some need an accredited installer. We are not an official partner of any brand, so we confirm in writing which terms apply to your unit at the survey.

Fitting any split unit means handling refrigerant. The GOV.UK F gas rules require a qualified engineer and a certified company, and our engineers hold F gas qualifications.
